The Charlotte Fightin' Tarpons basketball team scored 90 points and restricted the visiting Island Coast Gators to 72 in the Fightin' Tarpons league victory on Tuesday.

The Fightin' Tarpons now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Port Charlotte for a 6A District 10 contest on Thursday, December 17. Charlotte will battle a Pirates team coming off a 68-33 league win over Lemon Bay (Englewood, FL). The Pirates record now stands at 7-1.

The Gators (7-4) will now prepare for their contest against Ida Baker (Cape Coral, FL). The Bulldogs come into the 6A District 10 contest with a 4-7 record. In their last contest, Ida Baker was defeated by East Lee County (Lehigh Acres, FL), 64-58, in a non-league contest.
