Colorado High School Basketball - Greeley Central holds off Niwot

Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Greeley Central Wildcats (Greeley, CO) and the host Niwot Cougars (Niwot, CO), saw Greeley Central's basketball squad hold off Niwot by a tally of 40-39.

With the victory, Greeley Central improves its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Greeley West (Greeley, CO) to confront the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 9. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 0-11. Greeley West lost 59-31 in their recent league challenge against Horizon (Thornton, CO)

Next up, the Cougars confront the Silver Creek Raptors (Longmont, CO) in a 4A Northern outing, on Saturday, January 9. Niwot will attempt to advance on its 8-2 season record. The Raptors go into the outing with a 4-5 record after their 57-41 league win over Mountain View (Loveland, CO).
