Florida High School Baseball - Suncoast loses to Central
March 25, 2011: Riviera Beach, FL 33404 In Friday's league game, the visiting Central Cobras baseball team scored a tight 9-3 victory over the Suncoast Chargers.
The Cobras (7-7) will now prepare for their game against Lincoln Park (Fort Pierce, FL). The Greyhounds go into the 4A District 14 game with a 7-6 record.
The Chargers (8-10) will now prepare for their game against Cardinal Newman (West Palm Beach, FL). The Crusaders go into the 3A District 13 game with a 2-15 record. In their last game, Cardinal Newman was overwhelmed by St. Andrew's (Boca Raton, FL), 3-1, in a league game.
Game Summary
Sam Vaughn pick up his 4th win, with 6 K's allow only 5 hits all 1b,1bb and went 2 for 4 with 1RBI. Brandon Hanner had 3 RBI. Vinnie Lucera went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI in his 1st varsity start. Brandon Houle had 2 RBI, and pitch the last 2 inn with 5K's. Marcus Sigmon started the game with a lead off 3b to set the tone of the game.
