New Jersey High School Lacrosse - St. Rose trounced by Holmdel
April 1, 2010: Belmar, NJ 07719 Holmdel Hornets (Holmdel, NJ) boosters exited the stadium content Thursday as they witnessed their lacrosse team overcome the host St. Rose Purple Roses (Belmar, NJ), 12-4 in a league challenge.
The Hornets now own a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ocean Township for a non-league outing on Saturday, April 3. Holmdel will battle a Spartans squad coming off a 14-4 league loss to Freehold Township (Freehold, NJ). The Spartans record now stands at 0-1.
With the defeat, St. Rose drops to 0-1 on the season. The Purple roses travel to Rumson-Fair Haven (Rumson, NJ) to battle the Bulldogs in a Shore B - North outing on Tuesday, April 6. The Bulldogs go into the outing with a record of 2-0. Rumson-Fair Haven won 11-10 in their recent non-league outing against Princeton (Princeton, NJ)
