Virginia High School Basketball - Academy of the Holy Cross routs Bishop O'Connell

In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Academy of the Holy Cross Tartans (Kensington, MD) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Bishop O'Connell Knights (Arlington, VA), by a margin of 79-43.

The Tartans (17-4) will now prepare for their outing against St. Mary's Ryken (Leonardtown, MD). The go into the Washington Catholic outing with a 14-8 record. In their last outing, St. Mary's Ryken smashed Bishop Ireton (Alexandria, VA), 58-46, in a league outing.

The Knights now own a 8-18 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bishop McNamara for a non-league outing on Friday, February 10. Bishop O'Connell will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 77-45 league loss to St. John's (Washington, DC). The Mustangs record now stands at 13-11.
