Spectators at Thursday's league match between the Chaparral Firebirds (Scottsdale, AZ) and the host Saguaro Sabercats (Scottsdale, AZ), witnessed Chaparral's softball squad prevail over Saguaro by a count of 13-0.

The Firebirds now sport a 13-6 record. They play next when they travel to Shadow Mountain for a 4A Desert Sky match on Tuesday, April 14. Chaparral will face a Matadors squad coming off a 9-3 league loss to Apache Junction (Apache Junction, AZ). The Matadors record now stands at 8-13.

With the loss, Saguaro moves to 13-4 on the season. The Sabercats host Apache Junction (Apache Junction, AZ) to face the Prospectors in a 4A Desert Sky match on Tuesday, April 14. The Prospectors go into the match with a record of 12-11. Apache Junction won 9-3 in their recent league match against Shadow Mountain (Phoenix, AZ)
