January 6, 2017: Wichita Falls, TX 76310 Poteet Pirates (Mesquite, TX) fans were pleased Friday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Rider Raiders (Wichita Falls, TX), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.
Coming up next, the Pirates meet the Wakeland Wolverines (Frisco, TX) in a non-league test, on Saturday, January 7. Poteet will attempt to upgrade on its 2-0 season record. The Wolverines come into the test with a 1-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over El Dorado (El Paso, TX).
With the loss, Rider drops to 0-1 on the season. The Raiders travel to Independence (Frisco, TX) to meet the Knights in a non-league test on Sunday, January 8.
