October 1, 2016: Appomattox, VA 24522 The crowd at Saturday's league contest between the Appomattox County Raiders (Appomattox, VA) and the visiting Gretna Hawks (Gretna, VA), observed Appomattox County's football squad bounce Gretna by a count of 47-6.
The Raiders now own a 5-0 record. They play next when they travel to Dan River for a Dogwood contest on Friday, October 7. Appomattox County will play a Wildcats squad coming off a 50-0 league win over Chatham (Chatham, VA). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-0.
