December 29, 2017: Edmonds, WA 98026 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Sunnyside Grizzlies (Sunnyside, WA) and the host Edmonds-Woodway Warriors (Edmonds, WA), saw Sunnyside's basketball squad overcome Edmonds-Woodway by a tally of 60-48.
With the victory, Sunnyside improves its record to 9-1 on the campaign. The Grizzlies host Eisenhower (Yakima, WA) to play the Cadets in a 4A Columbia Basin Big-9 challenge on Friday, January 5. The Cadets come into the challenge with a record of 3-6. Eisenhower won 72-68 in their recent non-league challenge against Lynnwood (Bothell, WA)
Next up, the Warriors play the Stanwood Spartans (Stanwood, WA) in a 2A/3A Wesco South challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Edmonds-Woodway will attempt to improve on its 6-4 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 73-49 non-league loss to O'Dea (Seattle, WA).
