December 29, 2008: Odessa, TX 79760 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Richardson Eagles (Richardson, TX) and the host Odessa Bronchos (Odessa, TX), saw Richardson's basketball squad knock off Odessa by a score of 51-40.
With the victory, Richardson improves its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to White (Dallas, TX) to play the Longhorns in a 5A Region II District 9 challenge on Friday, January 2. The Longhorns come into the challenge with a record of 4-12. White lost 49-45 in their recent non-league challenge against North Dallas (Dallas, TX)
Next up, the Bronchos play the Coronado Mustangs (Lubbock, TX) in a 5A Region I District 2 challenge, on Saturday, January 3. Odessa will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 14-2 record after their 85-35 non-league win over Caprock (Amarillo, TX).
