New Mexico High School Softball - Capital holds off Santa Fe Indian
March 20, 2018: Santa Fe, NM 87505 Capital Jaguars (Santa Fe, NM) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Santa Fe Indian Braves and Lady Braves (Santa Fe, NM), 8-6 in a non-league challenge.
The Jaguars now sport a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host Pojoaque Valley for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 22. Capital will face a Elks/Elkettes squad coming off a 5-4 non-league win over McCurdy (Espanola, NM). The Elks/Elkettes record now stands at 4-4.
With the loss, Santa Fe Indian falls to 5-1 on the campaign. The Braves and lady braves host Grants (Grants, NM) to face the Pirates in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 22. The Pirates enter the challenge with a record of 3-5. Grants won 11-10 in their recent non-league challenge against East Mountain (Sandia Park, NM)
