Oklahoma High School Basketball - Copan nudges Newkirk
December 11, 2009: Copan, OK 74022 In Friday's non-league outing, the Copan Hornets (Copan, OK) basketball squad nipped the visiting Newkirk Tigers (Newkirk, OK), by a margin of 47-43.
The Hornets (5-0) will now prepare for their outing against Frontier (Red Rock, OK). The Mustangs go into the non-league outing with a 3-0 record. In their last outing, Frontier got by Preston (Preston, OK), 66-40, in a non-league outing.
The Tigers now own a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Preston for a non-league outing on Saturday, December 12. Newkirk will encounter a Pirates squad coming off a 66-40 non-league loss to Frontier (Red Rock, OK). The Pirates record now stands at 6-1.
