California High School Baseball - St. Paul loses to Capistrano Valley
March 31, 2014: Santa Fe Springs, CA 90670 The Capistrano Valley Cougars crushed the host St. Paul Swordsmen baseball team by a score of 11-0 in Monday's non-league match.
The Cougars (9-6) will now prepare for their match against Los Altos (Hacienda Heights, CA). The Conquerors go into the non-league match with a 5-7 record. In their last match, Los Altos ran past Villa Park (Villa Park, CA), 2-0, in a non-league match.
The Swordsmen (6-7) will now prepare for their match against Brea Olinda (Brea, CA). The Wildcats go into the non-league match with a 8-6 record. In their last match, Brea Olinda ran past La Salle (Pasadena, CA), 8-3, in a non-league match.
Game Summary
Jordan Bocko allowed only one single to right field in his bid to throw a perfect game. He struck out seven batters. Ryan Hinojosa made a valiant dive for the low liner with two outs in the sixth, but the ball went into the lights and hit Ryan in the shoulder. Chase Calabuig drove in five run on two hits including a home run.
