The Pleasant Valley Spartans basketball team scored 37 points and held the host Muscatine Muskies to 35 in the Spartans league triumph on Friday.

The Spartans now sport a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dubuque for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 18. Pleasant Valley will meet a Rams team coming off a 55-44 non-league loss to Wahlert (Dubuque, IA). The Rams record now stands at 5-5.

The Muskies (4-7) will now prepare for their contest against Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, IA). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 9-2 record. In their last contest, Mt. Pleasant nudged Fairfield (Fairfield, IA), 64-26, in a league contest.
