Rowlett Eagles (Rowlett, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting Sachse Mustangs (Sachse, TX), 42-37 in a league bout.

With the win, Rowlett upgrades its record to 10-9 on the season. The Eagles travel to South Garland (Garland, TX) to encounter the Colonels in a 5A Region II District 10 bout on Friday, January 7. The Colonels go into the bout with a record of 9-6. South Garland won 58-20 in their recent league bout against North Garland (Garland, TX)

Next up, the Mustangs encounter the Lakeview Centennial Patriots (Garland, TX) in a 5A Region II District 10 bout, on Friday, January 7. Sachse will attempt to upgrade on its 9-9 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 7-10 record after their 46-31 league loss to Naaman Forest (Garland, TX).
