In Saturday's non-league challenge, the Pisgah Bears (Canton, NC) baseball team got by the host Erwin Warriors (Asheville, NC), by a count of 5-4.

The Bears now possess a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Asheville School for a non-league bout on Thursday, March 15.

Next, the Warriors face the Asheville Cougars (Asheville, NC) in a 4A/3A Mountain bout, on Tuesday, March 13. Erwin will attempt to move on its 3-2 season record. The Cougars enter the bout with a 1-3 record after their 4-0 league loss to North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC).

Pisgah executed in extra frames to pull out a dramatic win at Erwin HS. Erwin got great relief pitching from Chris Lunsford and Devin Cain, unfortunately, they were not able to get a bunt down to advance leadoff doubles in multiple frames and left the bases loaded one inning in extra frames.
