Lincolnton Wolves (Lincolnton, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting West Lincoln Rebels (Lincolnton, NC), 73-55 in a league bout.

With the win, Lincolnton upgrades its record to 6-7 on the season. The Wolves travel to Cherryville (Cherryville, NC) to play the Ironmen in a 2A/1A Southern Piedmont bout on Tuesday, January 22. The Ironmen go into the bout with a record of 8-8. Cherryville lost 77-73 in their recent league bout against Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC)

Next up, the Rebels play the Bessemer City Yellowjackets (Bessemer City, NC) in a 2A/1A Southern Piedmont bout, on Tuesday, January 22. West Lincoln will attempt to upgrade on its 2-12 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a 11-3 record after their 79-44 league loss to Lake Norman Charter (Huntersville, NC).
