California High School Basketball - JSerra Catholic knocked off by Santa Margarita
January 27, 2017: Rancho Santa Margarita, CA 92688 The Santa Margarita Eagles basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting JSerra Catholic Lions to 52 in the Eagles league triumph on Friday.
The Eagles now sport a 16-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Centennial for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 28. Santa Margarita will meet a Huskies team coming off a 71-65 league loss to Roosevelt (Eastvale, CA). The Huskies record now stands at 17-6.
The Lions (14-7) will now prepare for their contest against St. Paul (Santa Fe Springs, CA). The Swordsmen enter the non-league contest with a 17-4 record. In their last contest, St. Paul ran past Bosco Tech (Rosemead, CA), 67-44, in a league contest.
