In Friday's league match, the visiting Wilkes Central Eagles football squad scored a good 47-18 victory over the Starmount Rams.

In their next game, the Eagles clash with the Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC) in a Mountain Valley 1A/2A match, on Friday, October 14. Wilkes Central will attempt to move on its 5-2 season record.
