The Monroe Area Hurricanes (Monroe, GA) basketball felled the visiting Alcovy Tigers (Covington, GA), 63-54 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Hurricanes (1-5) will now prepare for their test against Redan (Stone Mountain, GA). The Raiders go into the non-league test with a 5-3 record. In their last test, Redan was beaten by Towers (Decatur, GA), 61-56, in a league test.
