Ohio High School Basketball - Jackson nips New Philadelphia
February 8, 2017: Massillon, OH 44646 Jackson Polar Bears (Massillon, OH) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting New Philadelphia Quakers (New Philadelphia, OH), 36-33 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Jackson upgrades its record to 16-7 on the campaign. The Polar Bears travel to Lakeview (Cortland, OH) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 11. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 10-11. Lakeview lost 69-49 in their recent non-league bout against Austintown-Fitch (Youngstown, OH)
Next up, the Quakers play the Dover Crimson Tornadoes (Dover, OH) in a East Central Ohio - Scarlet bout, on Saturday, February 11. New Philadelphia will attempt to upgrade on its 16-4 season record. The Crimson Tornadoes come into the bout with a 10-8 record after their 51-30 league win over Zanesville (Zanesville, OH).
