April 18, 2014: Monument, CO 80132 The Palmer Ridge Bears triumphed over the visiting Rampart Rams lacrosse team by a score of 12-7 in Friday's league match.
With the win, Palmer Ridge upgrades its record to 8-2 on the season. The Bears travel to Grandview (Aurora, CO) to play the Wolves in a non-league match on Monday, April 21. The Wolves go into the match with a record of 5-4. Grandview won 10-7 in their recent league match against Cherokee Trail (Aurora, CO)
With the defeat, Rampart drops to 8-2 on the season. The Rams host Dakota Ridge (Littleton, CO) to play the Eagles in a non-league match on Saturday, April 19. The Eagles go into the match with a record of 5-5. Dakota Ridge won 16-13 in their recent league match against Green Mountain (Lakewood, CO)
Game Summary
The Bears defeated the Rams 12 to 7. The game started Wednesday night but after 13 minutes was snowed out. The score was tied 3-3 when the officials called the game due to the weather. The game resumed on Friday with the Bears falling behind 4-3 after the Rams were awarded the ball on the draw from the snowed out game. The Bears scored the next 3 goals and never looked back outscoring the Rams 9-4 on Friday.
