Cross County Cougars (Stromsburg, NE) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Twin River Titans (Genoa, NE), 41-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Cross County upgrades its record to 6-6 on the season. The Cougars travel to David City (David City, NE) to clash with the Scouts in a non-league bout on Friday, January 12. The Scouts go into the bout with a record of 3-8. David City won 44-23 in their recent non-league bout against Raymond Central (Raymond, NE)

Next up, the Titans clash with the Wisner-Pilger Gators (Wisner, NE) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 17. Twin River will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Gators go into the bout with a 10-4 record after their 58-48 league loss to Logan View/Scribner-Snyder (Hooper, NE).
