Illinois High School Basketball - Richwoods fells Sandburg
January 21, 2019: Peoria, IL 61614 Richwoods Knights (Peoria, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Sandburg Eagles (Orland Park, IL), 59-51 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Richwoods upgrades its record to 13-5 on the season. The Knights host Peoria Notre Dame (Peoria, IL) to clash with the Irish in a Big Twelve bout on Friday, January 25. The Irish go into the bout with a record of 14-4. Peoria Notre Dame won 59-43 in their recent league bout against Peoria (Peoria, IL)
Next up, the Eagles clash with the Joliet Catholic Hilltoppers (Joliet, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 22. Sandburg will attempt to upgrade on its 10-10 season record. The Hilltoppers go into the bout with a 3-18 record after their 47-35 league loss to Nazareth Academy (LaGrange Park, IL).
