The Port Aransas Marlins held off the host Robinson Rockets basketball team by a score of 46-39 in Friday's non-league battle.

The Marlins now sport a 15-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Samuell for a non-league battle on Saturday, December 31. Port Aransas will battle a Spartans team coming off a 57-48 non-league loss to Lorena (Lorena, TX). The Spartans record now stands at 3-10.

The Rockets (4-9) will now prepare for their battle against Glen Rose (Glen Rose, TX). The Tigers come into the non-league battle with a 2-10 record. In their last battle, Glen Rose edged Slocum (Elkhart, TX), 56-34, in a non-league battle.
