In Friday's league game, the Huntingtown Hurricanes (Huntingtown, MD) football team smashed the host Chopticon Braves (Morganza, MD), by a final score of 38-0.

The Hurricanes (8-1) will now prepare for their game against Northern (Owings, MD). The Patriots come into the Southern Maryland - Chesapeake game with a 6-2 record. In their last game, Northern overwhelmed McDonough (Pomfret, MD), 47-0, in a non-league game.

The Braves now hold a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Charles for a Southern Maryland - Chesapeake game on Friday, October 26. Chopticon will battle a team coming off a 16-6 league loss to Great Mills (Great Mills, MD). The record now stands at 6-2.
