Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Saugus Centurions (Saugus, CA) and the visiting Esperanza Aztecs (Anaheim, CA), saw Saugus's basketball squad hold off Esperanza by a count of 40-38.

With the victory, Saugus upgrades its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Centurions travel to Villa Park (Villa Park, CA) to play the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 27. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 9-2. Villa Park won 60-25 in their recent non-league challenge against Capistrano Valley (Mission Viejo, CA)
