Florida High School Basketball - Fleming Island beaten by South Atlanta
January 13, 2018: Orange Park, FL 32003 In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting South Atlanta Hornets basketball team scored a good 74-56 win over the Fleming Island Golden Eagles.
The Hornets (15-2) will now prepare for their test against North Clayton (College Park, GA). The Eagles go into the non-league test with a 6-12 record. In their last test, North Clayton went down by Westlake (Atlanta, GA), 66-50, in a non-league test.
The Golden Eagles now own a 12-9 record. They play next when they travel to Oakleaf for a 8A District 4 test on Tuesday, January 16. Fleming Island will encounter a squad coming off a 61-59 league loss to Buchholz (Gainesville, FL). The record now stands at 10-4.
