Arkansas High School Basketball - East Poinsett County edges Gosnell
December 4, 2017: Lepanto, AR 72354 The East Poinsett County Warriors (Lepanto, AR) basketball nipped the visiting Gosnell Pirates (Gosnell, AR), 56-52 in Monday's non-league test.
The Warriors (3-1) will now prepare for their test against Marked Tree (Marked Tree, AR). The Indians go into the 2A Region 2 test with a 3-0 record. In their last test, Marked Tree got by Cross County (Cherry Valley, AR), 52-33, in a non-league test.
The Pirates now own a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Riverside for a 3A Region 3 contest on Tuesday, December 5. Gosnell will battle a Rebels team coming off a 59-52 non-league loss to Corning (Corning, AR). The Rebels record now stands at 4-7.
