The Cuba Rams football team (Cuba, NM), was ripped 52-20 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Newcomb Skyhawks (Newcomb, NM)

The Skyhawks (8-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Mission Achievement & Success (Albuquerque, NM). The come into the 2A District 1/5 challenge with a 3-4 record. In their last challenge, Mission Achievement & Success trounced Questa (Questa, NM), 41-6, in a league challenge.

The Rams now sport a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Laguna Acoma for a 3A District 5/6 challenge on Friday, October 19. Cuba will meet a Hawks team coming off a 22-6 non-league win over Non Varsity Opponent (, ). The Hawks record now stands at 4-3.
