Indiana High School Basketball - Monroe Central holds off Randolph Southern
January 4, 2018: Parker City, IN 47368 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Monroe Central Golden Bears (Parker City, IN) and the visiting Randolph Southern Rebels (Lynn, IN), saw Monroe Central's basketball squad hold off Randolph Southern by a tally of 46-44.
With the victory, Monroe Central improves its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Golden Bears travel to Union City (Union City, IN) to confront the Indians in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 6. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 4-7. Union City won 81-27 in their recent non-league challenge against Union (Modoc, IN)
Next up, the Rebels confront the Blue River Valley Vikings (Mt. Summit, IN) in a Mid-Eastern challenge, on Friday, January 12. Randolph Southern will attempt to improve on its 5-8 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 3-7 record after their 53-49 non-league loss to Knightstown (Knightstown, IN).
