Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Monroe Central Golden Bears (Parker City, IN) and the visiting Randolph Southern Rebels (Lynn, IN), saw Monroe Central's basketball squad hold off Randolph Southern by a tally of 46-44.

With the victory, Monroe Central improves its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Golden Bears travel to Union City (Union City, IN) to confront the Indians in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 6. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 4-7. Union City won 81-27 in their recent non-league challenge against Union (Modoc, IN)
