California High School Volleyball - St. Francis tips Deer Valley
October 18, 2008: Mountain View, CA 94040 The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the St. Francis Lancers (Mountain View, CA) and the visiting Deer Valley Wolverines (Antioch, CA), saw St. Francis's volleyball squad nip Deer Valley by a tally of 2-1.
With the win, St. Francis upgrades its record to 15-6 on the year. The Lancers travel to Notre Dame (Belmont, CA) to play the Tigers in a West Catholic bout on Tuesday, October 21. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 20-8. Notre Dame lost 3-0 in their recent league bout against St. Ignatius (San Francisco, CA)
The Wolverines now own a 22-4 record. They play next when they travel to Marin Catholic for a non-league bout on Saturday, October 18.
