Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Junction City Bluejays (Junction City, KS) and the host Shawnee Heights Thunderbirds (Tecumseh, KS), saw Junction City's basketball squad hold off Shawnee Heights by a tally of 62-55.

With the victory, Junction City improves its record to 7-9 on the campaign. The Bluejays host West (Topeka, KS) to confront the Chargers in a Centennial challenge on Tuesday, February 13. The Chargers come into the challenge with a record of 11-5. West won 59-52 in their recent league challenge against Highland Park (Topeka, KS)

Next up, the Thunderbirds confront the Hayden Wildcats (Topeka, KS) in a Centennial challenge, on Tuesday, February 13. Shawnee Heights will attempt to improve on its 5-11 season record. The Wildcats go into the test with a 8-6 record after their 69-58 league win over Washburn Rural (Topeka, KS).
