Mississippi High School Basketball - Kemper County overwhelms Raleigh
December 21, 2009: DeKalb, MS 39328 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Kemper County Wildcats (DeKalb, MS) and the visiting Raleigh Lions (Raleigh, MS), saw Kemper County's basketball squad trounce Raleigh by a score of 81-42.
With the victory, Kemper County improves its record to 8-2 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Neshoba Central (Philadelphia, MS) to play the Rockets in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 5. The Rockets come into the challenge with a record of 0-7. Neshoba Central lost 69-34 in their recent league challenge against Ridgeland (Ridgeland, MS)
Next up, the Lions play the Petal Panthers (Petal, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 22. Raleigh will attempt to improve on its 4-7 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 7-4 record after their 67-62 non-league loss to Pearl (Pearl, MS).
