Illinois High School Basketball - Geneseo over Normal University
December 28, 2017: Geneseo, IL 61254 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Geneseo Maple Leafs (Geneseo, IL) and the visiting Normal University Pioneers (Normal, IL), saw Geneseo's basketball squad overcome Normal University by a tally of 54-46.
With the victory, Geneseo improves its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Maple Leafs travel to Sycamore (Sycamore, IL) to confront the Spartans in a Northern Illinois Big 12 - East challenge on Thursday, January 4. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 14-3. Sycamore won 44-19 in their recent non-league challenge against Genoa-Kingston (Genoa, IL)
Next up, the Pioneers confront the North Lawndale Phoenix (Chicago, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 29. Normal University will attempt to improve on its 2-13 season record. The Phoenix come into the challenge with a 1-13 record after their 75-25 non-league loss to Rochester (Rochester, IL).
