Texas High School Football - Italy knocked off by Riesel

October 7, 2016: Italy, TX 76651

Riesel Indians (Riesel, TX) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host Italy Gladiators (Italy, TX), 27-13 in a league test.

With the triumph, Riesel improves its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Indians host Bosqueville (Waco, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 2A-1 Region II District 8 contest on Friday, October 14. The Bulldogs go into the contest with a record of 1-1. Bosqueville won 48-0 in their recent non-league contest against Dublin (Dublin, TX)

Coming up next, the Gladiators play the Itasca Cats (Itasca, TX) in a 2A-1 Region II District 8 contest, on Friday, October 14. Italy will attempt to advance on its 4-2 season record. The Cats go into the contest with a 1-5 record after their 76-0 league loss to Mart (Mart, TX).
