In Friday's league match, the host Cinco Ranch Cougars basketball team scored a decisive 59-36 triumph over the Seven Lakes Spartans.

In their next game, the Cougars confront the Katy Tigers (Katy, TX) in a 5A Region III District 17 match, on Tuesday, January 12. Cinco Ranch will attempt to better on its 15-9 season record. The Tigers enter the match with a 9-12 record after their 39-35 league loss to Mayde Creek (Houston, TX).
