Louisiana High School Basketball - Assumption thwarts South Lafourche
February 2, 2018: Galliano, LA 70354 The Assumption Mustangs (Napoleonville, LA) basketball knocked off the host South Lafourche Tarpons (Galliano, LA), 68-56 in Friday's league test.
The Mustangs (15-14) will now prepare for their test against A.J. Ellender (Houma, LA). The Patriots go into the 4A District 7 test with a 8-13 record. In their last test, A.J. Ellender notched a victory over Vandebilt Catholic (Houma, LA), 73-58, in a league test.
The Tarpons now own a 15-9 record. They play next when they travel to Morgan City for a 4A District 7 test on Tuesday, February 6. South Lafourche will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 55-53 league win over South Terrebonne (Bourg, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 20-5.
