January 8, 2016: Harvey, LA 70058 The West Jefferson Buccaneers routed the visiting Richwood Rams basketball team by a final score of 58-29 in Friday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Buccaneers face the Chalmette Owls (Chalmette, LA) in a 5A District 8 game, on Friday, January 15. West Jefferson will attempt to move on its 12-6 season record. The Owls enter the game with a 15-5 record after their 57-53 non-league loss to Bonnabel (Kenner, LA).
With the defeat, Richwood moves to 6-13 on the year. The Rams host Carroll (Monroe, LA) to face the Bulldogs in a 3A District 2 game on Tuesday, January 12. The Bulldogs enter the game with a record of 16-5. Carroll won 65-59 in their recent non-league game against Simsboro (Simsboro, LA)
