The St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy Warriors basketball team (Downey, CA), dropped 68-60 in Wednesday's league battle with the host Mary Star of the Sea Stars (San Pedro, CA)

The Stars now possess a 15-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Salesian for a Santa Fe battle on Friday, January 12. Mary Star of the Sea will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 58-45 league win over St. Paul (Santa Fe Springs, CA). The Mustangs record now stands at 11-6.
