Nebraska High School Basketball - Franklin nips Lawrence-Nelson

Franklin Flyers (Franklin, NE) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Lawrence-Nelson Raiders (Nelson, NE), 32-26 in a league bout.

With the win, Franklin upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Flyers travel to Deshler (Deshler, NE) to play the Dragons in a D1 District 2 bout on Friday, December 15. The Dragons go into the bout with a record of 2-2. Deshler won 47-26 in their recent non-league bout against Southern (Wymore, NE)

Next up, the Raiders play the Bruning-Davenport/Shickley Eagles (Bruning, NE) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 9. Lawrence-Nelson will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 3-0 record after their 62-23 league win over Dorchester (Dorchester, NE).
