March 28, 2018: Slidell, LA 70461 In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Pope John Paul II Jaguars (Slidell, LA) softball team overwhelmed the visiting McGehee Hawks (New Orleans, LA), by a margin of 16-6.
With the triumph, Pope John Paul II moves its record to 3-13 on the year. The Jaguars host Independence (Independence, LA) to play the Tigers in a 3A District 7 contest on Thursday, March 29. The Tigers come into the contest with a record of 1-6.
In their next game, the Hawks play the Fisher Gators (Lafitte, LA) in a 2A District 11 contest, on Thursday, March 29. McGehee will attempt to move on its 9-8 season record. The Gators come into the contest with a 12-11 record after their 16-1 non-league win over St. Katharine Drexel (New Orleans, LA).
