Mount Miguel Matadors (Spring Valley, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Mira Costa Mustangs (Manhattan Beach, CA), 49-48 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Mount Miguel upgrades its record to 11-1 on the campaign. The Matadors host Great Oak (Temecula, CA) to play the Wolfpack in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 28. The Wolfpack come into the bout with a record of 6-0. Great Oak won 67-40 in their recent non-league bout against Our Lady of Peace (San Diego, CA)
