August 20, 2011: Decatur, AL 35601 In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Austin Black Bears volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Shades Mountain Christian Eagles.
The Black Bears (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Pelham (Pelham, AL). The Panthers come into the non-league battle with a 1-2 record. In their last match, Pelham was defeated by Carver (Montgomery, AL), 2-0, in a non-league match.
With the loss, Shades Mountain Christian drops to 0-6 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Parkway Christian Academy (Birmingham, AL) to clash with the Wildcats in a 1A Area 6 match on Monday, August 22. The Wildcats come into the match with a record of 0-1. Parkway Christian Academy lost 2-0 in their recent non-league match against Hewitt-Trussville (Trussville, AL)
