In Tuesday's league challenge, the Wilkes Central Eagles (Wilkesboro, NC) baseball squad triumphed over the host Elkin Elks (Elkin, NC), by a margin of 14-2.

With the win, Wilkes Central betters its record to 15-0 on the season. The Eagles travel to North Iredell (Olin, NC) to encounter the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 12. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 5-7. North Iredell lost 5-1 in their recent league challenge against South Rowan (China Grove, NC)

With the defeat, Elkin falls to 4-9 on the season. The Elks host Starmount (Boonville, NC) to battle the Rams in a 2A/1A Mountain Valley test on Friday, April 13.
