Independence Patriots (Coal City, WV) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting PikeView Panthers (Princeton, WV), 10-0 in a league test.

With the win, Independence upgrades its record to 8-8 on the season. The Patriots travel to Shady Spring (Shady Spring, WV) to battle the Tigers in a non-league test on Thursday, May 3. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 11-7. Shady Spring won 4-1 in their recent non-league test against Greenbrier East (Lewisburg, WV)
