February 10, 2011: Charlotte, NC 28277 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Hickory Grove Christian Lions (Charlotte, NC) and the host Charlotte Latin Hawks (Charlotte, NC), saw Hickory Grove Christian's basketball squad knock off Charlotte Latin by a score of 59-51.
With the victory, Hickory Grove Christian improves its record to 12-14 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Covenant Day (Matthews, NC) to battle the Lions in a NCISAA Metrolina challenge on Friday, February 11. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 8-15. Covenant Day lost 74-46 in their recent league challenge against First Assembly Christian (Concord, NC)
Next up, the Hawks battle the Cannon Cougars (Concord, NC) in a NCISAA Charlotte Independent Schools challenge, on Tuesday, February 15. Charlotte Latin will attempt to improve on its 8-15 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 8-17 record after their 68-67 league loss to Charlotte Country Day (Charlotte, NC).
