The Depew Hornets nipped the visiting Ripley Warriors softball squad by a final score of 6-5 in Tuesday's league battle.

The Hornets (13-2) will now prepare for their battle against Weleetka (Weleetka, OK). The Outlaws go into the Class A battle with a 4-5 record. In their last battle, Weleetka was edged by Porter (Porter, OK), 10-5, in a league battle.

The Warriors now possess a 12-2 record. They play next when they travel to Agra for a Class A battle on Monday, September 10.
