Alabama High School Soccer - Carolina Forest knocks off Calera
March 16, 2018: Calera, AL 35040 Carolina Forest Panthers (Myrtle Beach, SC) fans were thrilled Friday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Calera Eagles (Calera, AL), 6-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Panthers face the Socastee Braves (Myrtle Beach, SC) in a AAAAA Region VI challenge, on Tuesday, March 20. Carolina Forest will attempt to better on its 8-2 season record. The Braves enter the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Christ Church Episcopal (Greenville, SC).
The Eagles now have a 3-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fayetteville for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 17. Calera will face a Bulldogs team coming off a 1-0 non-league loss to Grissom (Huntsville, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-4.
