Newtown Nighthawks (Newtown, CT) followers exited the stadium happy Wednesday as they observed their lacrosse squad top the visiting Masuk Panthers (Monroe, CT), 18-7 in a league bout.

With the triumph, Newtown upgrades its record to 13-2 on the season. The Nighthawks host Weston (Weston, CT) to play the Trojans in a Southwest bout on Thursday, May 19. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 11-4. Weston won 13-12 in their recent league bout against Brookfield (Brookfield, CT)

With the defeat, Masuk drops to 3-7 on the season. The Panthers travel to Bethel (Bethel, CT) to play the Wildcats in a Southwest bout on Thursday, May 19. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 7-8. Bethel won 13-2 in their recent league bout against Stratford (Stratford, CT)
